Walls

Surrounding countries,
Giving peace of mind,
Keeping safe those inside.
Foundation of homes,
Warmth kept within,
The cold rejected,
A witness to love and life.
Protector of the heart,
Walls internal,
Built up against those
Who disrespects boundaries
And carelessly break
The trust bestowed upon them,
They buckle under the weight.
